4-H Computer Science Project wraps up activities on Google’s campus in Mountain View
On December 6th, the Computer Science Pathway team invited 24 members of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties to attend the last project meeting and Hour of Code activity at Google. Participants started with an educational virtual reality expedition to South Africa’s Kruger National Park. Then, with the help of 12 Google volunteers, they created their own Google doodles. Using the Scratch programming language, the youth designed and coded their doodles by changing the appearance of the letters, making the letters dance or change shape, creating interactive games, and much more.
What's next? April 7, 2018, there will be a training at Google on how to implement a CS Pathways program in your local 4-H Club or your after school program.
