4-H Summer Camp
May 6, 2020
Dear 4-H Families,
After much consideration, and in consultation with our 4-H state office and local health officials, we have decided to cancel the Annual Santa Clara County 4-H Camp scheduled for this summer.
Youth and adults have been planning camp for several months and we are thankful for their commitment and dedication to create a valuable and fun experience for all. However, based on guidance from the state 4-H office and local health officials, we are concerned that we will not be able to ensure the safety of campers, camp staff, chaperones or 4-H staff.
Camp staff and campers that have paid for camp will receive a full refund by the method that the payment was made. In other words, if you paid by credit card, you will receive a return of funds to the same credit card. If you paid by check, you will receive a refund by check. Please understand that this process will take some time. Thank you in advance for your patience.
With school closures and shelter-in-place orders due to COVID-19, families are seeking opportunities to keep kids engaged. Efforts are underway to offer virtual and hands-on experiences for youth during the summer. If you are interested in joining the planning team and are an adult volunteer or a youth 12 and older, please complete this short survey. Activity and session teams will be established soon.
More information will be distributed as soon as possible with dates, times and activities that will be provided at this 4-H Virtual Summer Experience. Again, thank you for your patience.
Wishing you well,
Fe Moncloa Sheila Barry
