It’s no wonder the Santa Clara Valley was once known for its acres of fruit orchards and our mild Mediterranean climate allows us to grow a dazzling variety of tree fruit!

This course covers growing pome fruits (including apples & pears), and stone fruits (including apricots, cherries, peaches, nectarines, and, plums). It stresses sustainable gardening practices including:

  • Efficient watering methods.
  • Integrated pest management.
  • Use of organic fertilizers and soil amendments apply for establishing and growing fruit trees.
