Urban Agriculture Featured in Annual County Crop Report

Over the last year, Santa Clara County’s urban farms and gardens have nimbly responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have adapted existing and created new programs to better meet community needs.

To learn more about urban agriculture organization’s donations of fresh produce, free farm boxes, seedling giveaways, and online classes during the pandemic, check out the most recent Santa Clara County Crop Report.

In addition to highlighting ways in which urban agriculture has contributed to resilience during times of crisis, this report provides an overview of some of the most common goals of urban farms and gardens: providing access to healthy food, creating opportunities for community engagement, and teaching the public about food and agriculture.
