Many of us use Garlic and Shallots when cooking. Wouldn’t it be nice to have them at your fingertips? Garlic and shallots grow beautifully in the winter in Santa Clara County. UC Master Gardener Aparna Bugwadia will share how to select the best varieties for our area, how to prepare the soil, when and how to plant, grow, harvest, cure and store them. Come and learn how easy it is to grow garlic and shallots.

At 10:45 am - Tour of the community garden and UC Master Gardener Demonstration Garden. UC Master Gardeners will be available to answer garden questions.
